The Debut Of E.A.R.L. - The Bowling Robot

What: The first appearance of E.A.R.L. (Enhanced Automated Robotic Launcher), the robotic bowling ball thrower used by the United States Bowling Congress Specifications and Certification team for equipment testing and research.

When: Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. Media should arrive by 9:45 a.m.  

Where: International Training and Research Center 621 Six Flags Drive, Arlington, Texas 76011  

Why: The opportunity to see how robotics are used in research and testing for the sport of bowling. Plus, it's just really pretty cool.  

Man vs. Machine: Professional bowling star Chris Barnes will take on E.A.R.L. in a special match.
