Larsen and Larsen win the Golds
A seven game round robin with scores carried forward from qualifying would decide the 2011/12 champions. The mens section looked like it was going to be wrapped up by Sweden's Martin Larsen early on but both Mika Koivuniemi from Finland and Sean Rash from the USA had other idea's. In the last game Mika defeated Martin 244-180 and with the 20 pinsbonus levelled the overall score on 5819 meaning a roll off was needed. Larsen fired 49 to Koivuniemi's 40 and stole the Gold medal leaving the Finn with silver and Sean Rash in the bronze position with 5796 despite a 260 (+20) from Sean in the final game.
16 women and 16 men participated in the EBT Masters 2012, which was held on 30 April and 1 May in the Dream Bowl Palace in Munich – Germany, where also the 3rd Track Dream-Bowl Palace Open 2012 (EBT 2012 Stop 07) was be held on 25-29 April. The defending champions were Cherie Tan (Singapore) who was not in Germany this year and Mika Koivuniemi (Finland) who was.

The EBT Masters consists of two divisions, one for women and one for men.
There will be 16 players in each division and players will, in case of excuses, be substituted by the next positioned players in the final ranking of the European Bowling Tour 2011.
All players will play three squads of 6 games on one oil pattern.
After the three squads of in total 18 games, top 8 of each division are qualified for the final, which will be played as follows:
A Round Robin consisting of 7 one game matches.
The pin fall from the preceding 18 games qualification is carried forward.
There will be 20 bonus points for a won and 10 bonus points for a tied match.
The standings after the 23 games, including bonus points won in the Round Robin matches, will be the final standings of the EBT Masters 2012.
